Im 3. Kammerkonzert der Saison 2023/24 präsentiert der 1. Konzertmeister der Symphoniker Hamburg Adrian Iliescu Kostbarkeiten der Kammermusik für Violine und Klavier.
Der Abend beginnt mit der Sonate in f-Moll aus J. S. Bachs bedeutendstem Kammermusikzyklus. Es folgt Gabriel Faurés Sonate Nr. 1 in A-Dur, die von Camille Saint-Saëns begeistert begrüßt wurde: »Man findet in dieser Sonate alles, was verführen kann: Neuheit der Formen, Besonderheit der Modulationen, kuriose Klänge; und über all dem waltet ein Zauber, der das ganze Werk umhüllt.« Mit seiner einzigen Violinsonate gelang dem 23-jährigen Richard Strauss ein Geniestreich: Es wurde »die« deutsche Violinsonate des Fin de Siècle, ein »funkelnd geistreiches Stück« (W. Altmann), dessen Virtuosität und Farbigkeit alle Grenzen sprengt. Der Kammermusikabend endet mit dem berühmten Prunkstück von Antonio Bazzini »La Ronde des Lutins – Scherzo fantastique«, der als einer der bedeutendsten Komponisten der italienischen Instrumentalrenaissance des 19. Jahrhunderts gilt.

The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.

Arrival time
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
