Noch zu Schulzeiten gründeten Johanna Schubert, Merle Geißler und Philipp Kirchner das Amelio Trio – und spielen nun mit Mitte 20 schon seit über einem Jahrzehnt zusammen. Das zahlt sich aus: 2023 errangen sie beim ARD-Musikwettbewerb, einem der wichtigsten Karrieresprungbretter der klassischen Musikszene, den zweiten Platz und erspielten sich im März 2024 mehrere Preise beim Deutschen Musikwettbewerb. Während das Haydn-Trio, das einst für eine Londoner Klaviervirtuosin entstanden war, heiter und tänzerisch daherkommt, entfaltet das Trio von Franz Schubert in intimer Besetzung dramatische, sinfonische Dimensionen.
Kulinarisches Angebot vor dem Konzert
Frisch gestärkt lässt sich das Konzert mit den jungen Nachwuchstalenten noch mehr genießen: Die Konzertgastronomie hat vor den Konzerten von 15–15:45 Uhr geöffnet und bietet Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen an. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Weg vom Kleinen Saal zum Brahms-Foyer nicht barrierefrei ist und dass die Anzahl der Plätze begrenzt ist.
Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2012 begeistert das Amelio Trio mit seinem ausdrucksstarken und dynamischen Spiel. Die Geigerin Johanna Schubert, die Cellistin Merle Geißler und der Pianist Philipp Kirchner haben sich in Frankfurt am Main zusammengefunden und seitdem zahlreiche Konzerte unter anderem in der Alten Oper Frankfurt, dem Prinzregententheater München, beim Klangbrückenfestival in Hannover und beim Pianotriofest Bern gegeben. Das junge Ensemble wurde bei zahlreichen internationalen Wettbewerben ausgezeichnet, etwa mit dem zweiten Preis des ARD-Musikwettbewerbs und dem ersten Preis beim Internationalen Schumann-Kammermusikpreis Frankfurt 2022. Nach langjähriger Arbeit mit Angelika Merkle, wird das Trio seit 2019 von Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartett) sowie von Stefan Heinemeyer (ATOS Trio) und Markus Becker an der HMTM Hannover künstlerisch betreut. Wichtige Impulse erhielten sie zudem von Eberhard Feltz, Steven Isserlis und dem Fauré Quartett.

The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.

Arrival time
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
