Introducing: the front-of-house staff

Friends and helpers in shirts and tails: the Elbphilharmonie’s front-of-house staff introduces itself.

In their tailcoats and striped shirts they are the Elbphilharmonie’s figurehead: the members of the front-of-house staff. They only rarely appear on official photos, but they occupy every important position in the building on concert evenings. They give the audience a friendly welcome and accompany it through the evening, never losing their cool as they ensure that everything runs smoothly and offer answers to all manner of questions. But who are these helpful people, and how do they see their work at the Elbphilharmonie?
