Exclusive: Three Stars of Brazilian Music at the Elbphilharmonie

There was great excitement in 2002 when three of the most dazzling stars of Brazil’s music scene announced a joint project. With »Tribalistas«, Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes and Carlinhos Brown produced the perfect summer album: delightful, unpretentious, neatly arranged pop songs that took the world by storm. It is regarded as one of the best Brazilian albums of the new millennium. 15 years after that great success, Monte, Antunes and Brown have released a second joint album, also titled »Tribalistas« – home-made songs by three songwriters who all throw different musical backgrounds into the mix, recorded with the same sworn team of companions as in 2002. In autumn 2018, the three Tribalistas finally come to Europe – and their only performance in Germany is at the Elbphilharmonie.
