This is your chance on 25 December to switch off from the Christmas hustle and bustle, and simply enjoy the sound of the Symphoniker Hamburg for a couple of hours with the whole family in the atmospheric surroundings of the Laeiszhalle. On the musical Christmas menu for this concert is a sweeping concerto grosso by Corelli and a virtuosic bravura piece in Tartini’s »Devil’s Trill Sonata«. Vaughan Williams’s variations on the folk tune »Dives and Lazarus« shimmer iridescently, and the concert comes to a majestic close with Beethoven’s brilliant First Symphony.
