Chopin as a business card

The New York Times calls him »a pianist who lends meaning to every note«. With sensitive interpretations, brilliant technique and a thoroughly charming manner, Jan Lisiecki is one of the best pianists of his generation, and has long since ceased to be an insider tip. At his solo recitals and in concerts with major orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields or the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, one composer is his regular companion: Frédéric Chopin. Like Lisiecki, Chopin had Polish roots – perhaps the reason why the young pianist has returned time after time to Chopin’s music since the outset of his career. The Polish composer has turned into something of a visiting card for him.
