The equally virtuosic violinist Renaud Capuçon gets in on the act for a passionate trio Mendelssohn »cawed« with his two eldest children while suffering from a cold. Mischa Maisky is joined by his son and daughter for a performance of Brahms’ piano quartet, which really touches the soul: the work explores themes borrowed from Goethe’s tragic novel »The Sorrows of Young Werther«.
