Sylvain Cambreling opens this concert of psychological drama with Anton Webern’s Passacaglia. Martha Argerich interprets Prokofiev’s popular Piano Concerto No. 3, in which lyrical expressiveness alternates with highly virtuosic passages that will delight any audience. And Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony (1888) is just as stirring, with its incisive theme exploring the battle against fate.
