Ode to Mothers

Herman van Veen always had a very close relationship with his mother. Many of his songs and texts were written in her memory. His latest book is not only about his own mother, but also about other influential maternal figures in his life: his grandmother, his first violin teacher and his daughter, who is now also a mother herself. »Mütter« is a book about origins and the people who shape us – and a heart-warming declaration of love to all mothers. Together with the guitarist Edith Leerkes, he now presents his new book in the Laeiszhalle.
