ELBJAZZ

Since its premiere in 2010, the Elbjazz Festival has turned into one of Europe’s biggest and most popular jazz festivals – thanks to a roster of terrific artists, but even more so to the unconventional concert locations in the Hamburg docklands, such as the Blohm+Voss shipyard. This made it all the more disappointing that the festival was cancelled in 2016. But in the  Elbphilharmonie’s inaugural season, jazz fans can look forward to a new edition of Elbjazz, with the Elbphilharmonie building adding another, no less spectacular venue in the future.
