Tunisian-born Dhafer Youssef experienced a musical awakening at the age of 19 when he encountered traditional Indian music for the first time in Vienna. Following that experience the jazz musician and oud virtuoso became determined to explore the fascinating music himself some time. Now, 30 years later, he has achieved that with his new album »Sounds of Mirrors«.
