»Celebrating Telemann«

The Hamburg Telemann Society has been contributing to the presence of Telemann’s music in the city’s concert halls for 60 years now, and celebrates tonight this great composer, who played a leading role in the Hamburg music scene from 1721 to 1767. The Hamburger Ratsmusik, a well-known ensemble specialising in historical performance practice, combines individual virtuosity in the solo instrumental parts and in the dialogue with the strings section to produce delightful chamber music.
