Ida Sand

The current album »Do You Hear Me?« is Swedish soul-jazz diva Ida Sand’s most personal work to date. After all, all ten tracks were written by her – and yet they couldn’t be more different. There is the spherical mid-tempo folk number »Wasted on the Youth«, »Burning«, which oscillates between bluesy longing and gospel-like rapture, or the languorous torch song »Too Close for Comfort«, united by Sand’s knack for heartfelt melody. The song roundelay is held together by the leitmotif »relationship«.
