The father is author, the son journalist. They met for the first time when the son was almost 40 years old. Father and son, writer and journalist, Jakob Augstein and Martin Walser, look back together at the past – of Germany and their own – taking »Das Leben wortwörtlich« (Life Literally).
The Harbour Front Literaturfestival brings together some 100 German and international authors at 20 locations in Hamburg’s docklands, including the Elbphilharmonie, from 12 September to 15 October. This year the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.
