The Hamburger Camerata in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall – only the finest treasures of the classical repertoire are good enough! As a finale, Martin Stadtfeld, Artist in Residence with the Hamburger Camerata, performs his interpretation of the ultimate Romantic piano concerto: Robert Schumann’s Concerto in A Minor. The work contains everything that electrified the composer’s contemporaries (and us too): fresh vivacity, original ideas and no trace of empty virtuosic tinkling – this is a complex work of fantastically imaginative music in which the orchestra and soloist fuse to form a single whole.
