    Elisabeth Leonskaja has been performing on the world's great concert stages for half a century and is a true piano legend. Now she presents all of Johannes Brahms' piano sonatas, which encompass the richness of sound of entire symphonies.

    : hr-Sinfonieorchester / Baiba Skride / Maxime Pascal

    Maxime Pascal is one of the most sought-after young conductors and is now celebrating his Elbphilharmonie debut. He loves the music of the 20th century and brings with him a fascinating programme for big orchestra that is as sensual as it is spiritual.

    : Poulenc: Figure humaine

    Written during the Nazi occupation of France, Poulenc's cantata »Figure humaine« permeates human tragedies of hatred and violence – and ultimately culminates in an ode to freedom.

    : Elbphilharmonie Summer

    Summer, sun, beaches ... and the Elbphilharmonie! Whether symphony orchestra, jazz, pop or world music: at the end of August, the summer festival invites you to a colourful mix of concerts in the Grand Hall. A short trip that is always well worth it!

    : Mao Fujita / Piano Recital

    »A miracle of articulation full of joy and passion« – that is Mao Fujita. At the age of 25, he has won the most important competitions and astounded the music world with a recording of all Mozart sonatas. Now he is making his debut at the Elbphilharmonie.

    : Dakh Daughters: »Ukraine Fire«

    The Dakh Daughters from Kyiv fight for their homeland with a wild performance of music, theatre and projections. Punk, pop, classical music and Ukrainian folklore with plaits, lace skirts and heavy boots are the trademarks of their protest.

    : Voces Suaves / Capricornus Consort Basel

    In his »Madrigals of War and Love«, Monteverdi alternates between war dramas and tales of love and passion. This masterpiece between Renaissance and Baroque is performed by two top early music ensembles with a high-calibre cast.

    : Jazz Piano: Enemy

    Pianist and organist Kit Downes has won many prizes and is considered one of the best improvisers on his instruments. His trio's jazz is rhythmically accentuated, fast-paced, highly complex and full of energy and joyful playing.

    : Monteverdi: »Vespers for the Blessed Virgin«

    Claudio Monteverdi demonstrates all his skills in his masterpiece, creating a work that is still fascinating today. Artfully composed vocal movements and colourful instrumental accompaniments, masterfully presented in historical performance practice.

    : Pierre-Laurent Aimard & Symphoniker Hamburg

    Pierre-Laurent Aimard is one of the best pianists of our time and is recognised for his subtle playing. With the Symphoniker Hamburg, he plays Bartók's Second Piano Concerto, which invites to virtuoso music-making.

    : Panorama der Renaissance

    Music brings comfort – this is as true today as it was during the Thirty Years’ War in the 17th century. With viols, organ, harp and voice, soprano Dorothee Mields and the Hathor Consort present a sound panorama from Heinrich Schütz and contemporaries.

    Creative, flexible and unforgettable: the Elbphilharmonie Soundtracker brings a very special project to schools. On four dates, school pupils create their own work and learn all the basics about rhythm, improvisation and much more.

    Trumpet, bongo, synthesizer: in the workshops, the Elbphilharmonie's huge fund of instruments can be explored. Children and adults welcome! New to the programme: the keyboard instruments workshop.
